True glee in Mark Eley...

...and Wakako Kishimoto, of course.
Eley Kishimoto is our surprise brand in dotshop. It was not in our original line-up, but one rare sunny day, and colorful friends we made along the way, led Carlo and myself to their showroom in Paris. In the true spirit of the brand—disarming, surprising and pretty—we bought Eley Kish on a whim. A season later we were invited to the Bonnie Bunny AW08 presentation. More cute and colorful characters filing in to watch the fashion show at The Natural History Museum of London:
Wherein the collection and styling were as darling as ever…Print heroes, Eley Kishimoto…Later that month, Carlo and I were sent off to Paris. On an uncharacteristically rainy evening, we stumbled, once again, upon something very happy—a window that curates Eley Kishimoto’s first collection for Cacharel!
So charmed were we (more I than Carlo, actually, hehe) upon seeing the animal masks worn by the mannequins. I guess this is what makes Eley Kishimoto most memorable—that it is unafraid to be pretty and fun. And if there is a way to weave joy in clothes, Mark and Wakako know it best.
