we know … that imagination is stronger than knowledge...

we know … that without intuition you can’t discover anything, and with pleasure and adventure you live better…

Oh well, none of our names were used...

An entire year went by and I barely managed to catch my breath… From the point of conception to this day it has been one rush forward. From the time Elaine, Carlo, Tadi and I researched for brands – brands with a quieter sensibility than what we were used to – at least in terms of color. Brands that did not necessarily have the ‘big’ name but did have a look and mood we related to… Design aesthetic was top priority. Quality, however, we were flexible with. After all, it wasn’t absolute luxury I was after. Nor would we approve under-par quality. It was the sophisticated European street style that was on my mind. Not urban wear of the students but the casual wear of the stylish working class on the streets of London and Paris in particular.

A year later, we are still discovering many things. Like how our customers were open to new styles and silhouettes, and how their buying choices were no longer as “safe” as before. How a polka dot shoe can sell out in a week, and how one can climb a ladder in five-inch heels and still be a superstar.
